- Spun Lamps...
This series of spun aluminum lamp shades are finished with powder coating and metal leafing. They have a very stark feel and are reminiscent of some of my early work in turned wooden pedestals. The variations in these fixtures are quite extensive. Some are hanging pendants, others are floor or table lamps, and some of the smaller shapes are wall mounted. The floor and desk lamps have beautiful curved, laminated, wooden arms in walnut, cherry, and ash with a solid wooden base. The shades are leafed in one of a variety of metal finishes. Although these pieces clearly borrow from some of the mid-century Danish lighting designs, they have a unique feel, in both the shapes and finishes that are Lehrecke's own.
