- Bells...
These large hollow turnings were designed and fabricated in our upstate New York Studio as light fixtures for the home of Michael Thaxton in Malibu, California. The concept began with large monastery bells that Michael had seen on his travels to Thailand. A collaboration between Chris and interior designer Ou Baholyodhin produced the final drawings. These pieces were fabricated from ash, glued up in sections producing a hollow interior, and then turned on a lathe. After they were turned the vessels were sandblasted and finished.
